Paul Waugh Labour and Co-operative MP for Rochdale

Paul Waugh has been the Member of Parliament for Rochdale since July 2024. Born at Birch Hill Hospital in Wardle, Paul was raised on a Council estate in Spotland and went to Oulder Hill Community School before moving on to University in Oxford and Cardiff.
Prior to becoming an MP, Paul was a journalist working at HuffPost UK, PoliticsHome, Evening Standard and The Independent. He also worked for the i newspaper and presented the Week in Westminster for the BBC.
Paul is a passionate Rochdale AFC fan and longstanding season ticket holder. Rochdale is Paul’s home town and he is determined to get the best for it and the people who live here.
